Brain Project
In this project we were supposed to show all of the things that we love expanding out of our head. In this project I learned how to cut an image and paste it, rotate an image, how to use the magic wand to erase a white background, and how to create a gradient background. I think that this was one of the funnest projects that we created in photoshop because everyones is different. Just like how each persons brain is different.
Is that a Zombie?
In this project, we were supposed to turn ourselves into a zombie. This project was almost the same project as the alien poster except we were more experienced in photoshop so I only took us about 15 minutes as opposed to a week for the alien poster. I had already learned most of what I needed to know in the alien poster but I learned that anyone can morph an image to make themselves look like this. There is mo special talent needed to create this, just a little imagination.
Aliens at BHS
This was my first project I ever did in photoshop. We were supposed to morph ourselves into alien like figures. This project was supposed to inform us about the basics of photoshop. My teacher really let us play around with how we wanted the poster to look because we didn't know as much as we have learned now in photoshop. In this project I learned how to liquify an image, how to rotate, erase a background, use an image form a background, how to change types of font, how to deform an image and how to change the color of an image.
BHS Facts
In this project students were required to make signs that would fit on a small piece of would make by the wood shop class. Each sign we made had a fact about our high school. In this project I learned how to use the ruler and how to use guild lines to help me in my project. Guidelines help you stay in the size that you want to be in and the ruler measures where to put these guidelines. I tried to make this design as simple as possible because it is the fact that matters more than the design. People walking by won't be able to read the fact if there is to many design elements. Here is an example of the sign.
Grayscale, Bitmap, Color
In this project I learned how to make an image gray, and into a bitmap. I learned about how much space each of these images takes and how much of a difference there is between each of the sizes just by changing the color. I took a photo and looked at the sizes in color, bitmap and grayscale. Bitmap was 493 kb, grayscale was 7.3 MB and color was 23 MB. A kb is smaller than a MB. There was a major difference between all of these images. In this project I also learned what a histogram was. It is a chart of levels of gray.

Halftone Picture
In this job I learned how to add a halftone to an image. I learned how the pixels can become larger if you keep zooming in. As I zoomed in further I realized that the pixels became the four major print colors of yellow, black, cyan and magenta. you can add a halftone to any image. Each halftone design is unique and I find it interesting how if you zoom in those dots become a picture. This project wasn't a major project but it was very informative on how images are pieced together. In class we took a magnifying glass and placed it over a picture to find that each image was made of its own form of pixels.
Sadie Hawkins Dance Poster
In this project students were asked to create a poster for the upcoming winter dance. We were asked to only use the colors of the school dance of blue, black and white. I tried to make this poster have a classic look with sihlouttes dancing to music on a dark blue background. Unfortunately after this poster was complete we were notified that the dance had been cancelled. Although this poster had no use for the school I did learn a lot about where to place things in a poster and how to get rid of any white in the background of an image. To get rid of white in an image you can use the magic wand tool which takes away the hassle of trying to erase away all of the white with a small eraser.
